| Home | I gave birth to my first daughter in 2003. Throughout my pregnancy, I researched birth and was touched by the miraculous nature and ancient traditions of it. I decided that I would like to help women with their birthing experiences. Since that time, I have completed my Bachelor's Degree from IUPUI and trained as a birth doula through the Doulas of North America (DONA). My first attended birth was June 2004. I am a certified doula through DONA and am trained as a childbirth educator through ALACE. What my clients have said about my work: "I really don't know how I (more importantly my wife) could have had a better experience with a doula...it was a very difficult non-med labor (long) and Rachelle was helpful, inspirational, and motivating." - a first-time dad "It's true! I can't imagine giving birth without a doula. You were an amazing support. Sure, I could have done it without you (the baby was coming regardless), but I wouldn't have wanted to...keep up the good work!!!" - a first-time mother "Rachelle honestly was very helpful throughout the birth. I was a skeptic and she proved me very wrong! We love her. Thank you Rachelle!" - a second-time father "I would not have been able to handle my hard and fast contractions without her massage techniques. She attended to my every need during the birth... All of the staff, including nurses and doctors, raved about the wonderful support she gave me during labor." - a second-time mother "I truly don't think I could haved coped through my very difficult 30-hour labor without Rachelle. She was amazing! The positioning guru!..." - a second-time mom |
